Terrible line up. Matt LeBlanc? Eddie Jordan? Is Katie Price the new stig then?

Main thought that springs to mind is 'too many cooks', second is that it looks very much like they are going for a more serious and factual show.

Well they would be mad to try and repeat the same formula, but it does feel like too much of a step back to the old way of doing things that was SOOOO DUUUUULL.

Fifth Gear had that many presenters once, it was still shit. I feel like this is just going to be about Evans and Jordan taking turns talking over the other presenters. It doesn't help that I hate Chris Harris' presenting style, he sounds bored and slightly annoyed that he is being made to drive expensive cars (which sums up a review of a Koenigsegg he once did).

Rory Reid might be good, depending on how much air time he is allowed near Evans' ego.

So the new series starts tonight. Anyone going to be watching it? I'll tune in just to see what it's like, not a huge fan of Chris Evans though so that more than anything else might put me off it.

Indeed, never have been able to stomach the guy. Somewhat curious just to see the new format (and how bad I think it will probably be), but if I miss it I can't say I'll be that bothered.

I'll certainly watch it, but I'm looking forward to it less than The Grand Tour (Hammond, May and Punchy Man's Amazon show).

Matt Leblanc is quite good, Chris Evans is a twat.

Best bit? Jesse Eisenberg. Thought he was hilarious. Can't say I've really enjoyed a film he's been in, but seemed like a nice guy, self-deprecating and funny.

Not convinced on Matt Leblanc. Very wooden delivery, not a natural presenter so far. And the awkward interaction with Evans make the rumours they can't stand each other quite easy to believe, zero chemistry. Evans is Evans.

Overall, it is better than I was expecting... which probably says more about my expectations.

I've just finished watching the Extra Gear thing they've put on iplayer, I think it was better than the main show especially as they seemed to have a budget of about £5.

I thought it was OK, Evans is annoying, but LeBlanc was decent enough, not sure the two have any real chemistry though. I think once it has had time to find it's own feat it could be decent enough.

Just watched it and this is pretty much my take on it.

Also, I'm getting a Bruce Campbell vibe from Matt so I basically want him to win everything.

Evans is just too upbeat and cheerful sounding to be doing Clarkson's act. I could probably get used to LeBlanc, but as others have said, he has zero chemistry with Evans.

Any comments about it from the old gang at all?
