Sure, but in any task if the PM asks you to do something you need to just knuckle down and do it, as more often than not it's their head on the block. And his qualifications were better than "I once stayed in a hotel room" "Great, you're the sub-team leader then."

I'm sure I detected a couple of raised eyebrows from the other girls when Siobhan said she spends lots of time in hotel bedrooms.

Oh yeah, I wasn't suggesting he was right to do it.

I like Michaela, she's good at team work, just needs squaring a bit. The boys aren't much cop tbh.

Part of me wanted to just curl up and die watching this week's. The women's team was just utterly embarrassing all the way through with the constant sniping at each other. The other team changing the product's name from Jeffrii to Siimon was such a colossal fuckup that I'm astounded it wasn't the reason for firing. I also couldn't believe that not one person thought about how you'd pronounce Siimon either.

Honestly I was expecting Siobhan to go even before they got to the three brought into the boardroom stage, she looks that disruptive. Once again though, the other team fucked up more.

It felt like this week's was really poorly edited, as it seemed little of the conflict during the task was brought up with much weighting in the boardroom.

It seems as the years have gone by I've found the amount of time per episode I've spent cringing has increased at a constant rate.

That clip of next week's episode with the prick singing, I'm already questioning whether I can take it any more.

I know what you mean, I suspect they're including more cringeworthy elements in the edit these days as they're what provoke the biggest reactions from people. I think there's at least one episode a year where I can barely stand to watch it, and we've already had one in week 3, but The Apprentice is my guilty-pleasure TV; I know it's utter crap but I can't help but watch.

A win for the boys (and two girls, now) at last. In spite of some highly dubious ents.

Basically they just went dirt cheap and won. I'm amazed they didn't have to refund some of their fee to the client - perhaps they took pity on his singing. Seemed a bit lucky to get the win.

Did the girls actually put on any entertainment? I don't remember them even discussing after hearing the client didn't want a singer.

Their biggest mistake was overbuying the booze, I think. The gap between the teams wasn't huge and they bought in about twice as much to drink.

Yeah they went for loads of canapés, top meal, tons of booze. Whereas the boys went for 1 canape per 2 people, a few sips of champagne each and some wotsits. (I can't remember what meal they went for)

The girls got a bit closer in the end with their stall selling.

A VIP box with cardboard dishes of wotsits and peanuts... what!? Gimme my money back!

Plus Lord Sugar giving the losing team a grilling over their practices when both teams did really simialr stuff and was only a few hundred quid difference. Plus I would have rather gone with the girl's day and enjoyed myself rather than having half a canape and a sip of wine.

I think the only factor is getting all the candidates to make tits of themselves so Lord Sugar can shout at them. The rules of each task are becoming increasingly vague and irrelevant. If we're meant to take business lessons from The Apprentice (which clearly we're not), then last night's task demonstrated that cutting corners and treating your customers like shit is the path to success.
