Makes sense with the whole two cuts thing, that DVD/Blu Ray will be a definite 18. Whichever cut I hope all the marketing stuff makes the extras like (I think) it did with Prometheus.

I enjoyed it but was aware of the cut getting "half-termed" by the studio itself cutting just enough to keep the BBFC happy.

So I'm hoping this promised 18 cut on Blu-Ray- something they didn't really have to promise anyone, it's not like they had to keep people on side like they did with Prometheus - is fully adult.

What's makes an 18 cert movie these days anyway? It had a ton of swearing, decapitation, blood & brains and boobs on display. There's actually even a bit of cock on show, briefly. Did we see different versions of the film I wonder?

The screening I saw was packed, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and even clapped at the end. Not seen that for a while :D

Didn't see it because my mate cancelled and I couldn't really go see it alone on the night before my girlfriend's birthday. SO pissed off I don't even have words.

Guess I'll go see it next week during half-term with all the school scrotes.

A shame mate, it was definitely a film worth ditching your mates to catch on release day.

Tarantino seems to make sure his films are 18 due to things like Hateful Eight's major end scene. Deadpool's decaps were fast and CGI, the multi-headshot was in the trailer also with a lot less blood than you'd see for real and all the romcom sex comedy stuff balanced out that violence. So it must be the lack of light relief that pushes a film above a 15.

Deadpool has taken in $14 million at the box office so far on a $58 million budget and still yet to open in the US that's good going for an R rated movie. Expectations are it could bring in as much as 40 or even $50 million over the weekend.

Fox are said to have already greenlit plans for Deadpool 2 based partly on the insane amount of buzz the first movie has generated. It has now been certified fresh on RT with an 82% rating...

Deadline is reporting that Deadpool grossed $41.5 million (including $12.7 million in Thursday previews) on its opening day, Friday, February 12. It is projected to bring in $102.5 million for the three-day weekend, and $115.3 million during the extended President’s Day weekend frame. That shatters the previous February record holder, Fifty Shades of Grey, which last year brought in $93 million during the same time period.

Woohoo so not only has it made back its $50 million budget but also much of the marketing costs meaning everything else is set to be pure profit and cements a very solid sequel that will no doubt also come with a much higher budget attached. As long as that doesn't end up like Zoolander 2. Ryan Reynolds has at last had the movie hit he always deserved and we all know the fact that it is Deadpool that did it will make it taste all the more sweeter. Fox must be ecstatic also as they took a significant risk making the movie at all in the first place and both the studio and the fans will be happy that it all paid off in the end.

Deadpool has now defied all the odds and brought in a rather astonishing $260 million worldwide in just three days. Wowzers.

Concerning a certain sequel certain actors are now taking note of its success and weighing in for roles in the follow up...

Recently, Stephen Lang (Into the Badlands) dropped some major hints as to his interest in the role. The buff actor, best known for his role as Col. Quaritch in Avatar, announced cheekily, “Let’s lay some CABLE,”
