Red Dwarf

Postby Rossell » Wed Nov 30, 2011 5:36 pm

OK, before we start flaming "Series 7/8/Back To Earth was shit grrrr" the good news is Red Dwarf Series 10 (counting BTE as S9 strangely) is in rehearsals, looks like it has a decent budget given to them by Dave, and will be shot in front of a studio audience finally.

Really looking forward to it, and its convincing me to get the old DVDs out.

Yup, 6 episodes to be shown middle of next year. Unfortunately you can't get to the show recordings as tickets sold out in an instant pretty much.

Hopefully https://twitter.com/#!/bobbyllew/media/slideshow?url=http%3A%2F%2Ftwitpic.com%2F7lpmjs will work for you.

I didn't take any notice of that because they'd said it before with the movie and such forth. But now it looks real. VERY real :D

Something about back to earth made me cringe a bit. Looking at how Rimmer's aged makes me sad.

I rewatched Back to Earth a couple of months ago; found it much more enjoyable the second time around when the meta-plot wasn't getting in the way. It's still nowhere near as good as seasons 1-6, but at least it was better than series 8.

Back to Earth was a hacked about film script (probably), it was better when they showed all three episodes in a row rather than split them up over a few nights. I'm hoping the new series is good, they've had long enough to come up with some decent material and they only have six episodes to fill.

I say this as the biggest Dwarf fan going... but I will be pleasantly surprised if it's any good.
