Yep. If they can maintain that quality (I accept we'll never again see the high water mark that was series 4 and 5) I'd be well happy.

This I agree with. Red Dwarf X was a most pleasent surprise. To get two new seasons makes me a happy boy.

I thought it was OK. Maybe the ending was a bit rushed, bit it had a few funny bits.

They've clearly got a bigger budget than ever before. It was ok, it had some funny moments but I've realised just how long it has been since I watched a comedy with canned laughter and I'm glad it's mostly gone.

Yeah, it was watchable but the magic is long gone. Had it's moments but twas a bit flat.

Rewatching the episode a couple of months later in the context of the season makes it better. All the expectation riding on one episode is always going to be difficult.

Have to say I really enjoyed this season. The exchange between Cat and Lister on Samsara is quality.
