On Arya and Sansa, they filmed a scene where Sansa goes to see Bron and talk about what Littlefinger is up to, but it was cut from the show.

This series has been OK, but continued the downward trend for the show as a whole. Also Jon Snow is the biggest idiot around. If he hadn't gone North on his silly suicide mission the Night King wouldn't have got a dragon and been able to burn down the wall.

On his escape by horse, my guess as to why his uncle didn't go with him would be that he stayed to distract the undead so Jon can escape. If they had both got on the horse it is possible that the undead could have caught them as the horse would have been slower.

I think it's implied that the dead would have passed the wall regardless of their having a dragon. There are only so many people you could have sat on top of the wall at Eastwatch to defend it anyway.

He was being a thick twunt as usual hacking at stragglers while everyone else was waiting for the thick twunt to stop being thick.

The stupidest thing was not using the 2 remaining dragons to napalm the fuck out of Night King. All the dead would have just dropped then.

Yeah, it's difficult to work out why she didn't do this. My only guess is that she simply didn't see him, as even if she didn't know what he was, he was standing in such an ominous place that he had to be the commander.

Aye could have been a thing. An even better thing after that would be that the king comes back alive in boring Brans body back in winterfell and he plots the shit out of the place in the south.

Would have been more fitting if it became an ice dragon. Could have frozen the sea and let the dead travel round the wall. Also gives them a path to the iron islands etc...

This was a fairly heated debate at the pub recently. I got told I had a sense of entitlement because I had read the books while my friend (who hadn't) just got to enjoy violence, bewbs, dragons and bewbs. He saw absolutely nothing wrong with the way the season had gone.

I really struggled with a response that would make sense. I ended up with the analogy of going to see Wagner's Ring cycle in full (I can't stand opera, but know that it is usually performed over 4 nights as it is so long) only to have the final night being made up of Dragonforce guitar solos. Not sure how much impact I made on my mate's argument, but some folks agreed with me at least.

It seems to be the 'in' thing at the moment to accuse people of having a sense of entitlement just for daring to suggest something could have been better/different.

I don't really think the accusation of being entitled stands up. Because we've read the books we would rather the storytelling be on the same level; if the show were to actually achieve that then it would be more enjoyable for everybody who watches it. It's not just a matter of us wanting it our way, it would genuinely be improved for everybody if it didn't go off on a tangent so much. Subjective I know, but you can't possibly compare things like the intrigue with the Dorne storyline from the books alongside the utter trash fan fiction that the show replaced it with.

As soon as they hit the Feast for Crows content the show took a noticeable dip in quality and started down the path to becoming a mindless romp. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a little more from a show, particularly as the first two or three seasons were so fantastic. But then it became a victim of its own success.

I haven't read the books at all, and I can see the glaring holes in the pace and flow of the story in the last season. Things are being railroaded to get to a deadline, rather than filled out to their natural denouement as they should be.

Is there a reason why they won't do a few more seasons? It's hardly cost, it must make millions per episode on advertising.
