How is it they pull out such bombast and its still overshadowed by anything Arya does at all?

Good to see all the main characters donned their TV shields before entering battle.

That was definitely epic.

Anyone else think that those walker murals on the cave wall looked an awful lot like Jon had just quickly added them himself?

"Look! They're definitely real! What a coincidence!"

Did cross my mind.

There's clearly some link between the patterns the white walkers create and the ones the children make, but I've no idea what they mean. It reminds me of that episode of Lost where Locke gets a glimpse of that map scrawled on the blast door.

I was worried that the first "dragon versus army" sequence was going to be just that; an army being burned to a crisp by a dragon. Having it happen in the midst of a terrifying Dothraki cavalry charge was much more exciting.

If only she'd changed her angle then gone along the ranks to start rather than head on she could have wiped out the lot, saved loads of her dothraki fighters and not got her dragon shot. But no, she had to charge head on and just kill 6 people to allow a few dothraki through.
Plus luckily she flew nice and straight towards the arrow launcher/ballista thingy and not side to side as that'd make it a very hard target.
And luckily they had it with them, and luckily it was operatable by one person, and that one person had had training on using it. Can't be easy practicing shooting flying things ....

Anyway Arya was the shizzle any way. She better slice and dice Little Finger :)

Oh and when is Danerys' and Jon's wedding?

I'm sure she will, which is probably why Bran gave her the dagger, but what I don't understand is why Bran didn't tell her (and Sansa) all he presumably now knows about Littlefinger. I get that he's not really Bran anymore and he doesn't give a shit for his own sake, maybe doesn't even give a shit about his own family, but why not just mention it out of courtesy? "Hey, this guy who's hanging round the castle betrayed your father and basically set into motion the wars that have destroyed Westeros for the past few years. Just so you know."

"Oh, also, this is what really happened with the white walkers, this is how you stop them, this is who the Prince who was Promised actually is, Jon's not your real brother and is in serious danger of marrying his own aunt... do you want to get a pen?"

I mean, ffs Bran. Get on side. #-o

Yet another great episode with a bit of everything in it. The gang of lads at the end is surely going to make for some epic camp fire banter next week
