the guys from Film/ podcast pretty much slagged it off. I did not think it was bad per se - it just was not very memorable

Reminds me of that sci-fi film, Virus. Needs Donald Sutherland putting on an amazing Irish accent.

Either this is a different "Sinister six" or they're heading for another clusterfuck of characters ala Spiderman 3...
IMO :P  :P  :P

This quite honestly looks like being the best outing by far. Not sure about the new Goblin look though. Spidey himself is starting to look like a decent mix of Todd Mcarlane and Mark Bagleys renditions, at least it doesn't look like Eric Larsens...ewww.

At least they have learnt the lesson of not having too many enemies in one film.

Then again, you could have argued too many superheroes on screen at one time would have been poor, so maybe the third film was shit for different reasons...

If you're referencing The Avengers - All the characters involved (except the Chitauri goons) were already established across several films and so needed no story introduction, you could get on with the plot with the characters acting as a group. In Spider-man 3 you had 3 or 4 characters who tried to have complete origins, development and endings in a single film.
