The Santa Clarita Diet on Netflix.

(Very) dark comedy about a pair of realtors (Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant no less) who... actually, I don't even want to spoil the plot really. Suffice to say that if you like black comedies and aren't put off by gore and some gross-out stuff then it's well worth a watch. It took a couple of episodes to really get going imo, but we ploughed through the first four in one sitting last night, and was properly into it by then.

Season 2 is due in a couple of days IIRC.

Did enjoy season 1 so am looking forward to it, probably after Jessica Jones season 2.

It just so happens Clarita Diet is my new binge tv fave I must admit and I just started on season 2 only last night. Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant have the perfect amount of chemistry and the supporting cast such as Eric and Abby really help it too, loving some of the twists that they have already got in nice and early. Hard not to ignore the Dexter comedy vibe it has going on for it.

Hooray! :D

We've watched 8 or 9 episodes of series 2 now, and it's still keeping up the high quality. I love the fact most of it is married couple bickering against a backdrop of gory horror

Being someone who normally doesn't handle gore all that well what I love about it on this is how...unexpected it can be to the point that rather than be repulsed I find it instantly hilarious first THEN I feel repulsion.

Spoiler: show
The best example being when Sheila's eye came out that one ep and Joel's own instinctive reactions often perfectly match my own which is another great aspect of his character and the situations he often finds himself in.

The whole is she going to attack me today, tomorrow is so true to the bone too because come on as much as you love this person self preservation is always going to be your main priority. It's a great show and came along at just the right time when everything else was just becoming far too serious for its own good.

Yep, we started watching it over the weekend and instant hit! Is it me or does Olyphant look like Billy Bob Thornton's brother? Its uncanny!

Just binge watched 'Flint Town' or to be more precise couldn't stop watching it. A phenomenal body of work.

Staggering, shocking, bleak yet compelling. Beautifully shot essential viewing.

The Crown - season 1 & 2

Now going into this I was really sceptical. This was going to be a suck up, sentimental piece of cods wallop. Oh how wrong was I. It is excellent. I like the fact it stays laser focused on the political machinations around the monarchy.

Went in expecting the worst. I am now looking forward to season 3.

8/10

Is it a sort of docu-drama thing as in going around following real police?

About just over half way through Season 2 of Clarita Diet and boy it just keeps getting better.

Spoiler: show
Not sure which ep it was now but oh man that scene when a man recognizes Joel and proceeds to go right up to Sheila, points right in her face and starts doing the best zombie impression ever in front of everyone much to her displeasure, I almost bust a gut I swear.

Also god bless Gary.
