Ahhh, for a moment there I was thinking of Shoot'em Up, the one with Clive Owen. That might actually have a premise for a TV show.

I think there's a whole slew of pointless TV shows based on films coming out in the next year.

Jordskott

Phuw - that was a bit of a slog towards the end. A 10 part Swedish drama that started really well and completely missed the target at the end. It has an environmental angel about nymphs from an ancient mysterious forest who break an alliance with humans who are interested in the underground silver. Kids disappear and murders happen. It tries to do something new and I have to give it huge credit for thinking out of the box with this one, but it lost its way around episode 6 and ended up choosing an anti hero for the sake of it. It is almost as if the writers were grasping for ideas towards the end.

It does have some very cool elements to it and if handled more tighter (like 6 episodes, similar to Utopia) it could have been really special. 10 episodes killed the originality

6/10

Watching the Danish Follow The Money. Hope this one is better

Why?

First two episodes are up on Nelfix, watched the first episode and it is the exact same plot as the film except with worse acting and Ryan Phillipe in the lead role. Seems a total waste of time.

Can't wait for the next series of Ripper Street. Also looking forward to that Rillington Place thing with Tim Roth.

Saw a trailer for it last night after Question Time, looks dead good. Heck, anything with Tim Roth in is bound to be pretty cool.

Nah they've got one more in the pipeline apparently. By the time it's out I bet my sideburns will be looking spiffing, pip pip and all that.

Anybody watched Goliath, with Billy Bob Thornton? I am half way through series one. Its starting to cook really nice.

Oh, and Hand of God with Ron Pearlman. That looks like its going to be interesting.

WestWorld

Well I find myself with a few days on my own in the house so I've stumped up and bought this season 1.

Only seen the first episode but damn this is good TV. The possibilities here are endless and its so beautifully filmed, acted (poss exception of the brit guy) and the music is great. I love how its taken modern songs and put a spin on them to westernify them.

I reckon i'll be finished season 1 by tomorrow night if this properly hooks me.

The Witness for the Prosecution

Yeah loved it, from the acting, plot twists and production value
8/10

Halt And Catch Fire Season 2

Not as tight as season 1. It did have some interesting things to say about online gaming with dial up and message boards before the invention of the internet. The character of Joe is still the most fascinating
