I actually wasn't a massive fan of the book, thought it was arguably one of Gaiman's weakest. Didn't really like the narrative or central character that much. I just couldn't shake off that feeling he had a great idea but didn't make the most of it on this occasion.

I don't know if it's one of those instances where you just don't click with something that most people seem to love.

I'll still have a go at watching the show at some point though.

The Mist Ep1
Who thought this was a good idea?
Who let them make it?

It makes Under The Dome look like AAA TV. I can't think of one good thing to say about this. Bad effects, bad acting, bad writing, bad bad bad, the whole world has to answer right now to tell us once again mist bad. Truly awful.

Will skip it then. Saw it on Netflix and liked the film so thought might give it a go, but if it's that bad I won't bother.

Been watching season 2 of Preacher. Its better than the first but is still very hit and miss, but when its good it is very entertaining and funny.

Well I will finish watching series 1 of American Gods, but it hasn't convinced me yet (4 episodes in).

The Tick

Wasn't convinced about a live action version (I liked the cartoon back in the day), but happy to report it's much better than I expected. Have binge watched the first four episodes and very much enjoying it. Peter Serafinowicz is a good Tick.

You're not aware of the live action version with Patrick Warburton? It's AMAZING.

Rewatching Westworld.

Love this, the setting, the characters, the music, especially when it breaks into a cowboy version of something familiar.

Best series I've seen in a long time by far. Hopkins taps right into some of his Hannibal role with that creepy intelligence of his.

Funny you should mention Westworld, I've been working my way through the first series myself. I was quite enjoying it until just over half-way through, up to around where the Maeve storyline really kicked in, then I thought it started to go off the rails. I've just got the final episode left to watch, but I'm not sure I really want to bother. It's around an hour and a half and I'm not sure I care enough to see it through.

If there was no second series it does wrap things up enough to warrant a watch.

There is a second season of it isn't there? I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there is. I loved Westworld but it could be a bit hit and miss in places.

The Maeve story line is a bit weak but I suppose it's a vehicle to get her on the outside. I love Hopkins in it though. That whole scene with Banard and the facility manager when the truth about Banard comes out is great. He's properly chilling in places.

There is a second series on the way but if there wasn't, season 1 was wrapped up in a nice enough way to leave it.
