Got a decent-sized league now, which is good... I've also prodded a few others I know who put in teams last year, so hopefully have at least a dozen by the time the season kicks off.

FYI... it's pretty self-explanatory when you're on the site, but there's a couple of new features this year.

There are two one-off bonuses you can activate in a single gameweek - one gives your captain triple points instead of double, and the other allows you to play an extra-attacking formation with only two defenders.

Do you know if they replenish or are they gone once you use them?

Yeah, they're one-offs. Probs best to save them for a congested Xmas fixture list, or a double-match week.

Final standings below.

It was a real photo finish this season, and pleased to have won my first one in seven or eight years of running this league :)

MM was pretty much my nemesis this year, don't think I've deliberated over anything as much as I did this. Was certain at one point he had it all sewn up, but made a few big gambles, some paid off and some didn't.

Anyway, thanks all for playing once again. I'll get it running again in August probably, when the new season is a week or two away. See you then!

1 Zinny's Zealots Zinedine Biscan 60 2,123
2 Smokin' Mojo Filters Kenneth Russell 54 2,120
3 Spudinho De Spud 42 2,063
4 Finchley FC Nat Ireton 23 1,998
5 Sons of Pitches Alex Kelly 53 1,954
6 The Flukes of Hazard Paul Boland 42 1,929
7 Ponte FC Peter Marshall 34 1,927
8 Countbatular Nick Blane 48 1,894
9 The Sharks Jamie King 55 1,821
10 Baggy Shorts FC Rupert Hamilton 23 1,706
11 Su's sexy squad su . 69 1,600
12 Gay Rovers Josh Limie 26 1,501
13 Prescott North End Jim Meh 70 1,459
14 Padiham Wanderers Mark Jackson 25 1,231

4th place isn't too bad considering I have had some horrendous luck with injuries this year, at one point every transfer I was making was getting injured. I'm more disappointed about my standing in another league as I was leading up until about 3 weeks ago when three people played their triple captain on Aguero when he scored his hat-trick. The more stupid little things they add into fantasy football like that and the bench boost, the more I dislike it as you end up losing purely due to luck rather than any real skill on the part of the competition.

I blew all my extra bonuses in the first few weeks (triple captain etc), think I reasoned that it would be better to take an early lead and try to maintain it. Then I've spent the last couple of weeks bricking it as MM played one after the other to overturn my, at one point, 50-point lead

I literally have no patience for playing that kind of long game strategy, even though I knew then it would make sense to hold on for the weeks when some teams play twice.
