Due to the main F1 thread disappearing for some reason, I'll kick off another one for 2013.

New cars will be revealed within a couple of weeks and the testing starts in the first week of Feb.

--------------------------
For non-Sky'ers, the live GP's the BBC have got this year are as follows:

China, 14 April
Spain, 12 May
Canada, 9 June
Silverstone, 30 June
TBA*, 21 July
Belgium, 25 August
Italy, 8 September
Japan, 13 October
India, 27 October
Brazil, 24 November
---------------------------

Can Hamilton wring the most out of his Mercedes in 2013 and get a win or two? As for the fight at the front, will it be 4 titles in a row for Vettel? If Lewis can't compete for the championship this year due to the car, I hope Alonso can win it.

I'm interested to see what McLaren do. Everyone knows that if you can give Button a car that matches his driving style he is nigh on unbeatable. So if they go down this route and just tell Perez to get used to the car they produce they could have a productive season. They also will need to sort out their tactical decision making and cut out the mistakes if they want to challenge for the title.

Button said this year that next year's car will better suit him, and I suppose they've had all of the development time since Lewis announced his move to make sure that's the case. I'm hoping Ferrari are competitive from the off too. Red Bull I'd like to see accidentally put the engine in backwards, or build their front wing out of defective alternators, or something.

I can't see how next year's car will help Button, surely you don't have to be as smooth if you've got less power.

Sorry; last year and this year. Still stuck in 2012 mode.

I guess it depends if the car has been designed around him. Perez might be fast or another Kovelinen.

It's been a long time coming, but we're finally finding out who's filling the remaining big seats. Yes folks, Pedro de la Rosa is joining Ferrari as a development driver.

Predictions:

- Alonso will win the driver's championship.
- Red Bull will get the constructors.
- Hamilton will have a strong start to the season then tail off, culminating in a teary BBC interview where he alludes he wishes he'd stuck with McLaren.
- Button will be a proper title contender again.
- Perez will win only one race.
- Massa will not get a Ferrari contract for 2014.
- Webber will announce his retirement.
- Grosjean will almost kill someone again.
- Sauber will have a poor year and lose out to Force India.

Andrew Benson has been a mediocre Journalist at best all his life creating sensationalise stories with little or no truth behind them. I'm ashamed that my TV tax gets spent on him

BOOM!! That was the sound of the empty balloon this article was, exploding. Well done Andrew Benson. Your first huge fail of the year only took 23 days in 2013. Brawn isn't going anywhere.
