I thought it looked like the Arrows car, except with less sponsors logos ¬_¬

It looks great, though many have pointed out it's very reminiscent of Virgin's 2010 livery. Here's hoping for regular top 6 finishes eh?

Or just finishes? ;)

Well quite. The McLaren broke down after one lap this morning. They have 8 days of testing this year, and they're losing a substantial part of the first day for an oil system issue.

I have to say that the cars this year are simply better looking than in previous years. The low rear wing and enormous tyres make them look all the more aggressive. The Red Bull in particular looks superb with its sloping sidepods.

The Toro Rosso looks gorgeous on track.

To go further on McLaren, the news is the design of the fuel tank may have caused the issue. Which for a team that's been in F1 for so long is quite astounding.

Today they have had to make an engine change due to a lose of power. After such a poor season last year I would have thought the sensible thing would to be to continue to develop the engine they had rather than try and copy the Mercedes spilt turbine philosophy which by all accounts is tough to get working correctly.

Elsewhere Ferrari have been putting in some quick laps just a few tenths off the fastest Mercedes time which was done on softer tyres. Bear in mind though that Ferrari also looked fast in pre-season testing last year.

Yeah, don't bother reading anything into lap times. Number of laps is a more telling statistic.

Second week of testing; Ferrari still look fast, McLaren still look garbage.

Yup. Alonso's been saying that they're 30kph down on the straights. If that's true, I don't see how they even expect to compete with the likes of Sauber. They think the chassis is good, but they're entering corners at completely the wrong speeds, so they're having difficulty testing it.

Once again Sniff Petrol delivers the goods  =D>

Sniff Petrol wrote:Formula 1 fans have reacted strongly to yesterday’s surprise news that Force India will run a pink livery this season.

‘Errrgh, their car is pink,’ spluttered one F1 enthusiast. ‘I bet just looking at it for too long gives you a vagina.’

Other fans were equally quick to pour scorn on the new team colours, ‘Oh my God, it’s pink,’ wrote one. ‘Errrrgh. Pink is the colour of flowers and kittens and also the pillows girls have in their bedrooms, I imagine.’

Even other F1 teams were moved to question Force India’s new colour scheme. ‘Pffft. Our car is made of manly colours like black and blue and heterosexuallow, and it was inspired by a Black & Decker Workmate. Grrrrr!’ said one well-known team insider. ‘You wouldn’t catch us running a pink car unless it came with millions in sponsorship money, in which case we would.’

Even former Force India driver Nico Hulkenberg joined in the mocking of the new pink colour scheme. ‘Now you understand why I left Force India,’ he wrote on Twitter along with a picture of the car. ‘It’s because I wanted to drive for a much worse team,’ he presumably would have added if there was room.

I like it. It's certainly going to be easy to pick out on the track.

It's a much nicer colour on the track under normal lighting. It's a shame there's not a little more silver on it, as the BWT-sponsored Mercedes from DTM actually looks fantastic under the sunshine.
