Yeah, I was a little surprised to see their team selection, particularly in goal. If they'd won, sure, it wouldn't have been in their hands to get fourth place, but if they'd won their last game as well and Newcastle draw and Spurs lose (not impossible results), they'd have got it.

Seems a bit strange to me.

Joey Barton has lost it here in a major way. After he is shown a red card, Barton knees Sergio Aguero in the back of the leg, that sparks a major melee, he tries to headbutt Vincent Kompany before tangling with Manchester City substitute Mario Balotelli.

Wow what a finish. I thought CIty had blown it. Looking forward to seeing all the action on MotD tonight. Commiserations to Bolton and Owen Coyle, one goal away from staying up.

Quite possibly the best ending to a football season in a long goddamn time. Props to Arsenal for holding us off for 3rd.

We just came up a bit short at the end of the season and missed out on CL. But with both Arsenal and Spurs winning today, a win wouldn't have been enough anyway.

At least I can now watch the CL final next weekend without any nerves. :)

That was incredible. Watching that match was a tense as anything I've ever watched.

Grats Wolfy, not for the blubbery girl-tears. Glad City won it, they've been the best team in the league for pretty much the entire season. Deserved.

Went to a sports bar to watch it with other neutral friends with City on the big screen and Man U at the front, great atmosphere andglad to have watched it all the way through as a proper match on a cinema-sized screen. I knew the second half would be more eventful than the first but I didn't know just how much! :D Bet on four out of ten and three came in so woohoo, good return to betting, could've had more but good to learn to leave some on the table sometimes and not get greedy.

City were almost uncatchable all year so nice to see Fergie gracious in defeat, if only GD could decide it. But even as City ended their own drought, man, having the drop and the top in the same match, amazing. Shame about shite reffing taking Bolton down but they just never closed the gap like Wigan did.
