Anyone interested/morbidly curious of MLB?

I have to watch it for a living, amongst other things, and while I can't stand cricket I can actually watch baseball without wanting to die and it's a bit of a nerdy sport (if you get REALLY into it) like I believe cricket can be.

Anyway, MLB.com have been doing free mlbtv game of the day promo these season, so if you like it already or are just curious it's a good place to check it out and watch a game live.

I went to see the Mets get torn to pieces by the Chicago Cubs two years ago. Does that count?

Two shit teams playing each other barely counts, but I like your enthusiasm!

You're talking about baseball aren't you? It used to be on Channel 5 late at night and I'd watch it when I couldn't sleep. I've never seen more than two batters.

I watched a bit when I went to America a few years back. I enjoy going to watch it live, but I can't stand it on TV.

At one of the games they did an announcement about how they had given free tickets to a local Socut troop or something like that. They asked them to wave and as I tried to find out where they were sitting I saw that they had been stuck up right at the top of the cheap seats way in the corner. I don't think you could get worse seats than the ones they had. How tight is that. The stadium was half empty as well.

Was it minor league, DJ?

The Major league games are pretty good and the commentary is top notch. just check out MLB.com. today's games will be on the left in Eastern Time (at the moment they still have yesterday's up with final scores), and one will be clearly marked as 'todays free MLB.tv game' and a little TV icon will appear by it close to when it's about to start.

Hopefully it won't be one of the ones on at 3am ¬_¬

Same here, although the 2 batters bit is news to me. :)
