Well Australia have won the toss at least. And are batting.

I reckon the Aussies should get 200 then have a go at England. Should just about be manageable working around the weather. England just need to get stuck in and bowl at the buggars.

One thing that is becoming increasingly evident: Strauss is boring as fuck as a pundit! :D

It's no surprise their one world class batsman got them into the driving seat, Clarke was due a big innings. Shame KP couldn't have gone on and built a similarly big innings when we were batting - gave the Aussies a chance to throw the bat yesterday to push for the win.

Though England have batted first in their two victories, they didn't take anywhere near as many overs out of the game before getting out as Australia did here - it just shows a big opening score can be a double-edged sword, especially when you desperately need to win a match & rain is forecast.

Yeah I think the Aussies should have been a bit more adventurous in the first innings, knowing that it was going to rain at some point they needed to get England in and then out in the first innings asap.

Best two stories: Panesar pisses off and on bouncer, and Pietersen accused of using 'Special Tape' (this is an upgrade from the previous time this accusation came round, that they were smothering bats in vaseline)

You always get a better class of scandal in cricket eh.

Yep, two wayward stupid shots to add to all the others from the first innings.

Really going through a dodgy batting spell this series, England.

Bell & Bairstow were well-set too. It's a tough sport to defend when silly stuff like this happens.

Old Dicky wouldn't have taken them off. Like Beefy keeps saying: "what was it Bob Willis said? WHERE'S THE COFFINS?"!!!

Crucial knock from Bell today, really brought England back up to the mark. Another 50 or 60 might just leave us enough to bowl at the Aussies and win. Good day's play. =D>

Did anyone catch that Shane Warne masterclass yesterday? Awesome and enlightening, the man is indeed a genius. He even replicated the "Gatting Ball" perfectly. :D

Bell's really turned it around. All those years he was accused of never scoring when it mattered, but nowadays he seems to play at his best when under pressure.

I think we're slightly ahead on points this evening. A flurry of wickets could change things again though, like it did for England this morning.
