Good. We beat Exeter 2-1 thanks to Jermaine Beckford. Which is scaring me slightly because he's probably going to be gone by the next transfer window.

In other Football League news ;

Norwich 1 - 7 Colchester

Nice 5-0 win for Gillingham to start the season. Was very surprised at the Norwich score. Charlton managed to start with a win though.

Yeah - Norwich was a bit of a shock to be honest. I bet they'll be gutted at being one of the best, looking forward to the first match and losing that badly. It isn't a good sign for them.

Everyone knew Gunn was a terrible appointment at the back-end of last season, though, keeping him on is just fucking suicide. Get a real manager in ffs.

Bit non-plussed by the Leeds game. A win is a win, but a) Beckford is *still* carrying us, despite being half asleep for 80 minutes, b) newly promoted Exeter shouldn't have caused us as much trouble as they did, c) we have a habit of starting okay and going shit. At least if we started with a loss it can't get worse. ¬_¬

Leeds scrape another win against lesser opponents it seems.

Leeds 2-1 Walsall.

In other news.

Huddersfield 7-1 Brighton. (seriously, what the fuck! although Brighton's keeper was sent off after 32 minutes, wonder if they had a keeper sub...)

According to a friend at work, he says that there sub keeper was actually a defender, and only played in nets in an u-17 amateur league.

What a great finish to the Leeds - Norwich game, 1-1, Beckford misses his chance on 93 minutes to take the lead, half the stadium get up and start to walk out thinking its all over. Norwich's keeper (who i'd noticed had been having a shocker when it comes to kicking the ball up field) mis-kicks the goal kick straight to Beckford, who reacts to it quickly and gets it under control, storms into the box to finish cooly in front of the kop, by this time a proceeding to go absolutely mental, and all players mob Beckford and look like they then start to beat him...

Awesome game I dont think I have cheered more in my entire life like I did, not even when Howson put us into the Play-off finals.

Like me and Luke discussed elsewhere, we didn't really deserve the win, but I'm obviously glad we got it. Need to make it count and keep on winning though, given the way we played last night, in one of our biggest games of the season, I still don't trust us in the play-offs. Needs automatic, and going up as champions would be nice. -_-

Gillingham are having a rather frustrating start to the season. Good win one week, bad defeat the next. Any kind of consistency could see us push for a play-off place.

I really hope Leeds can get our loanee on a longer loan or perhaps even permanent deal. He looked very promising when he came off the bench, but that said he's only played for 14 minutes.... but I really liked what I saw.
