As good as Ibrahimovic is, this is quite a gamble. He's so volatile that Guardiola has to be certain he can get the best out of him for this to be worth it, because he's throwing away one of the top strikers in Europe, a LOT of money, and potentially a good bench-warmer in Hleb, on a player who has massive potential for failure. I don't like this at all.

Feet, in the OP of this very thread wrote:Man City are rumoured to be bidding for Adebayor. I could live with that, mainly cause they'd happily pay the money we could have got for him after he completed his one and only good season. Silly oil tycoons. ¬_¬

Wow, Wenger will be able to buy 50 French, African and French-African teenagers with that!

Yeah! I'm not fussed if we don't buy another striker as I would rather the money be used to bring in a solid centre midfielder. This is still the one area that Wenger hasn't yet strengthened and I'm starting to get a bit worried.

Deal of the window for Arsenal there.

Arghh. Pulled out of the Crouch race. I think it was fairly obvious now that we were never going to get him against Spurs and Fulham. But it was nice to think we had a chance. :|

Hopefully we can still sign Bent, and maybe a couple of quality wingers. Very optimistic about the upcoming season actually, a lot of the lower teams have lost their best players, and aren't signing good enough quality players to replace them. Maybe we won't be fighting against relegation this time around!

Burnleys been buying several highly rated young Scottish players. Still think we're going to need a least 1 experienced central midfielder and a winger. Along with a new centre back pairing ¬_¬

Well, it's happened. Amazing. Ibra would surely have gone for £40m, I really don't understand why Barca just chucked Eto'o in there as well. If they wanted rid of him they could have got decent money for him, instead of this nonsense.

 I read a old newspaper article a few days ago about Peter Reid not wanting to stump up 7 mill for him when he was at Ajax.

Is he even worth the 40? I don't know that much about him, but when I have seen him play he's seemed average.
