Not the first time. Remember the Nicky Sumerbee elbow.

Not three weeks ago on City's pre-season tour of China, he put another player in hospital with another elbow. Puncturing his lung.

Christ!

He's always been known as a nasty player but i really dont undertsand why even as a tough tackling defender you would need to basically assualt someone. I dont remember Stuart Pearce doing anything like that, unless the rose coloured glasses are covering my memory.

Honestly if he had done that in a pre season friendly Pearce should really have pulled him to one side and sorted it.
I went into the gas station, said, "Fill 'er up, Harry."
The guy said, "Regular?"
I said, "No, put on a gorrila suit and dance like a fairy."

Is that the one where he stamped on his knee('s)? As i was going to mention that but couldnt remember the guys name. That was deliberate and he ended a guys career.

EDIT -

Manchester United's Roy Keane has been given a five-match ban and a £150,000 fine at an FA hearing.

It was deliberate, but he didn't end his career.

He retired due to his injury, so i would say that it did...

The injury which ended his career was on his other leg, and Haaland himself admitted Keane's "tackle" had nothing to do with it.

Doesn't make it any better mind you...

Another elbow by Thatcher has been reported today. In February in a reserve team match against Rovers. He broke a youth team players jaw.

The guy's an absolute lunatic.

Bah, I edited his profile on Wiki to say "professional thug", but someone didn't like it. :(
