Six Nations

Postby :Dan » Sat Feb 04, 2006 2:01 pm

Man, am I looking forward to the game this afternoon. After our much improved appearances in the Autumn internationals, and with that pesky Mr Henson not being able to kick over any last minute penalties this time around, I do fancy our chances against Wales. Ireland might be a little tricky, and no doubt the French will upstage us yet again, but I have a feeling we might be able to finish a little higher than fourth this time around!

And currently Ireland are beating Italy. No real surprise there.

Well. A damn good result in the end, even if I couldn't watch the game.

Oh, yeah. Really good game to watch, even if I did have to go to Walkabout on my own. I liked how Ruddock essentially blamed the loss on Martyn Williams getting sin-binned. I hope Lewsey is available for the Italy game.

And well done to Scotland. After coming close to beating the French last year, they've only gone and done it this time.

Yes, yesterday owned :D:D:D:D:D

We got sloppy at the end and really the main reason we won is France played a shit game with far too many errors.

Wales really could have beaten England, their performance was fine it just wasn't their day in my opinion.

Didn't quite expect the Italians to be that resilient... but still, it's a win that's put us top of the table. Good old Charlie - I was disappointed when he missed the easy opportunity for a drop goal (since Pez seemed to be putting them away quite nicely) but hey, when he goes to score an ace try then you can't fault him.

I'm getting a tad nervous about the France game in Paris though... the Italians who are considered the weakest team pushed us quite a bit. Our pack didn't seem as impressive as against the Welsh.

Wish I'd seen the Ireland - France game though. Four tries in twelve minutes?!

The Italians were really up for it, though. Any other day, they would've been pummelled. And if that try right at the beginning would've stood, they probably would've just collapsed.

Good on Scotland for playing very well against Wales.

I would have expected the points gap to be considerably larger considering we were down a man and think it would have gone to the wire had we not had the red card incident.

And what a cosmic cock up giving us the chance for that last try :D

Great result. Best part of it was Guscott's face at the end.

Bollocks. A deserved win for you Scots though... If only the Azurri had beaten the French.

That 25% of Irish blood in me is jumping for joy right now. Shame that the rest isn't all too pleased.
