When Destinies Collide

Well, after almost six years of bloody hard work, and times that I doubted my own ability, I have completed my book. I have self published it through CreateSpace, and thus Amazon. It has gone through several rounds of professional editing, and is now available on Amazon. The kindle version will be up in around a week I think.

I cant tell you how chuffed I am to see it through to the end. Just getting this far was a huge challenge. I would like to write my second book full time, but economics and real life tend to get in the way. So fingers crossed.

About When Destinies Collide
The shred of parchment Richard Bymoor holds in his hands is tattered, worn, and centuries old. Such a little thing—but the thirty-four-year-old king of Driniri senses it has the potential to devastate kingdoms, especially when neighboring Raimar risks war by attempting to steal the relic.

Forced to confer with his estranged brother Markus, Richard and his trusted mentor William Coleburn discover the parchment piece is one of ten tied to an ancient power that could lay waste to Driniri. Raimar seeks this power—and is preparing for war.

Outmanned, Richard and Markus decide on a desperate course of action. While the Driniri army runs interference, a small strike force led by the brothers braves the unknown lands, flanking the Raimar forces in an attempt to assassinate the Raimar leader, Lord Gamil.

But something is lurking in the unknown lands, a force that could bring a swift end to the brothers’ quest. And even if they make their way to Gamil, the Raimar leader is heavily defended. To succeed, Richard and Markus must accomplish the impossible—or Driniri falls.

Congrats mate. I still remember when you announced on here that you were starting work on a book, I bet it feels good to finally get it out there! :)

Working on my third draft at the moment. Editing is not as much fun as writing :(

Editing makes you want to jump off something really high.

Getting my final proof copy through the post was a major wow moment. It was six years from me deciding to write the book, to it being available on amazon. Still feels unbelievable that I managed to see it through to the end. Like most first time writers, I almost gave up, several times. The kindle version should be up and available by the end of the month. So far I have 8 sales, and not all of them family members. Woohoo.

There must be some mistake, there's nothing about sexy dinosaurs or the women who love them in this. :P

Many congratulations on birthing a hot piece of fiction. Hope it does very well for you.

Now that would be telling, wouldnt it. :D

OK, not really. But thats far too simplistic an answer. If you read it, you will understand why.

Bought. Thought I'd support something like this as I've always wanted to write something myself. I will let you know what I thought in a couple of weeks :) Should be here by Wednesday.

Congrats on the book :)

If you go on amazon and click on the cover image, you can scroll down and read the intro and first 6 pages. Its not much, but it gives you a small sample to look at.

The kindle version will be up by the end of the month.

Going to FantasyCon 2015 in Nottingham Saturday, some interesting talks going on.

http://fantasycon2015.org/whats-on/

I will take a few copies of my book with me, in case I bump into anybody of influence (agents/reviewers etc) that I can give a copy too.
