The Endless River.

So the last time they hit us with a bunch of out takes and called it a studio album is was a cracker. This time... not so much. Its extraordinary derivative of their own stuff which is fine since its your own sound you're harking back to but a fair number sound like licks lifted directly from earlier songs. Basically this sounds like a soundtrack album for a movie that never existed. Hell, this could be a soundtrack to their own biopic. Its very background music for 90% of the run time, almost wholly instrumental. I really wouldn't get excited. Its fine, its not great, its just fine.

Roger, its time to finally show them how its done and get your next solo album, that youve been promising for 15 fucking years now, out the door.
Wouldst thou like to live deliciously?

Agree pretty much, sounds more like a collection of incidental instrumental pieces from a film score than anything else.
I've loved Floyd with a passion for decades but agree this is merely "OK", not even a shadow of their best stuff.
