Best player for PC

Postby Rossell » Sun Nov 09, 2014 12:40 pm

Having used Winamp for so many years and it having closed down, what does everyone here use at the moment? Wondering if I could use a better one.

Been using Winamp since my first pc, tried one or two others but found them fiddly to set up and not worth the bother (for me).

I use Clementine.
Assuming all your media tags are in order, it's a fun program to use. Way less fiddly than Foobar2000 and more straight forward than most of the other media focused programs.

I'm still using Winamp (Pro).

I take offence at that. [-(
It's the geeks and nerds who use media alternative players. If anything, iTunes is the program for hipster shits!

Itunes is like Steam, far more bloated than it needs to be. Foobar starts in literally less than a second. As soon as your finger is off the click its on your screen and ready to rock. Itunes hobbles with all the stuff it wants to check at launch and overall is more sluggish. I live a jetsetting life, I cant afford to lose those seconds. Again, like steam, I wish they'd do a cutdown version with just the basics and no crap like coverflow - who the fuck uses coverflow? Its the most stupid idea ever! Well.... its in the top thousand.
