Yeah they have been re-releasing them over the last few years with brand new covers.

Bit crap innit? Its bad enough without the crappy goblin guy in the background. Kids these days deserve better artwork than that.

Ian Livingstone wrote a new one in 2005 as well! Also they finally released number 60 that was written in the early 90's. Think its called Bloodbones or something.

Again it's the enticing nature of wanting to explore the city in the background that just makes it ....right.

I think I drew a map but that was probably 20 odd years ago and I've moved a few times since then :)

I haven't forgotten you KC, I'm still waiting on my mum to check her attic for more books.

May as well give you the lot in one go...

What a pile of shit, look at the goblin

I never even heard of these, I would have killed for them when I was a kid, I had loads of these though:

Even though it was pretty tame Famous Five style storylines there was something kind of unsettling about reading them, you'd have a really uneasy feeling when you were flicking forward to your decision, some of them really disturbed me as a kid, until I started reading my brothers Richard Laymon stuff which was genuinely terrifying when you were young, but also great wanking material back before the internet.

I used to love these!

Must have rented dozens of them from the local library in those pre-adolescent years. In fact, I even remember my and my mate at primary school trying to make our own version, lots of fun.

The only one I ever owned, though, was called Trial of Champions, or something like that, was a bit Gladiator-esque. The cat pissed on it once, but I liked it so much I kept it anyway. It smelled pretty rank, though.
My face is tired.
