From what I can gather the developers behind the game Black Forest Games are comprised of ex devs from the once Spellbound Entertainment company who gave us games such as Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive and er Arcania: Gothic 4.

Fade to Silence is launching on Steam Early Access on December 14, 2017 for 29.99 USD/EUR or 24.99 GBP.

In Fade to Silence, players survive as Ash, a natural leader who must battle eldritch monsters and the elements in a post-apocalyptic environment blanketed in #EndlessWinter. Early Access launch will introduce players to the concept of simple mission as full expedition, whether collecting materials, upgrading equipment, building your camp or defeating horrific supernatural creatures, players will continually struggle to navigate dynamic, accumulating snow, real-time snow trails, and completely immersive weather effects such as blizzards.

Full release in August 2018.

Another post-apocalyptic survival / crafting game then? Nothing wrong with that of course, but it does feel that this sub-genre has gone from little indie games to full-on big releases remarkably quickly.

the AAA market is quick to leap on anything remotely new and popular. think thats why im expecting a rash of Player Unknown type games soon.

I am not sure about this - I like the setting, but those monsters not so much. Would much prefer human enemies rather than supernatural fanny.
