Agreed.

Scripted to an inch of its life but...dear God the atmosphere these games generate is sublime. Really looking forward to this.

Aye very scripted. I really hope that those blasted dog things do go down with one shotgun blast unlike in previous games. Those were bastards to kill...everything was aside from people.

Makes you laugh when people used to really hate overly scripted games and favoured more open experiences where players could create their own stories. There's still a stigma attached to scripted events, clearly. Give me an overly scripted, but incredibly well defined experience over another bloody open world game any day though; I am genuinely sick to death of every map being enormous and full of really boring side tasks.

We'll come full circle soon.

I love the Metro games, they do really show how a scripted game can be amazing when done properly. Infiltrating the Nazi camp and getting through undetected was one of the highlights.

On a side note, I tried reading the original book once but gave up quickly due to it being so unfathomably boring. Must have lost something in the translation.

Ah shite, that's just my opinion mate. It could be a classic for all I know. If you want to pm me your details I can dig my copy out and send it to you for free. Won't be until sometime in January mind you.

Thanks for offer mate, its ok though cos you arent the first to have that opinion on it from what i can see on review sites. Im working my way through Sapowskys witcher series and sci fi show, the expanse at moment in any case.
