The setting is completely irrelevant in my eyes. It's as Snowy says, purely down to whether they can do something interesting with the gameplay.

What the hell was with that island image/teaser, if it's set in the States?

Last one I played was 3, as after that was completed jaded with the franchise, and the Ubi formula in general really, so I could be interested in getting this if it ends up being good and they try something different to the usual towers/outposts/icon-spam...

FC4 is actually a pretty good game, similar to 3 but different enough to be it's own thing. Plus it had Pagan Min, wonderful villain.

I'm interested in this alright, the setting sounds very different from anything previous (apart from Primal obviously..)

Can't stand the icon spam this series pushes out. Doubt it'll be a buy from me unless they change it up a lot.

It makes me think of a more fun Outlast 2. Less mindless running from Insta-death but more sneaky sneaky revengey death.

Plus Dire Wolves. They really have run out of ideas haven't they.

Really wasn't that interested to start with. Less so now.

I see a radio tower in the background of that picture :?

One guy also has a pet wolf, I wonder if animal companions are going to be a feature.

We've had Outlast 2... and... erm... Sort of Resident Evil 7?

So, three then? It does feel like a bit of a spate, doesn't it?

Wow, one picture can really tell a story. Another re-skin of FC3 coming right up then...

I suppose that until people stop buying them the Ubi head honchos and their happy shareholders will keep on flogging the franchise. Why risk being creative when you can just keep releasing effectively the same game and the punters queue up to buy it. I am in the guilty category myself here too.

One for the sales I suspect.

Really, that's the reaction you guys had to the art? If anything, I got more excited.
All these people look like they need a bash, and I am gonna have fun doing it!

Also planes. :)

Anyway. We're meant to be getting a gameplay trailer tomorrow.
And by "gameplay", I actually mean overly touched up "in engine" footage that will look way better than the final game.
