They really need to make the fog map happen a lot more :( Whole night and it never came up once for us.

This is a crazy bug I got on the new map with some buds tonight

New map and vaulting is awesome. Same with the weapons :)

Wish Relive would record my mic as well as the game as you would hear me arguing that I can't see the guy Pam was telling me about upstairs.

Be thankful you guys play on PC because the Xbox One/X versions while selling a shit load in first 48 hours are not doing so hot technically...

Makes me want to replay Goldeneye N64.

Bit of common sense would have said to maybe skip this on console till it was finally released and reviewed somewhere.

Just got a solo dinner..... in Fortnight :p

Still don’t like the game type much but for my money Fortnight is wayyyyy more fun! Much less fannying around and more playing. Also the building really adds to the fun. At the end of my match to get into the circle I built way up to get over a cliff then ran forward making a crazy long sky bridge as I went, jumping off and shot gunning the last guy. The 5 Games before that were much less eventful but so this style of game goes.

Definitely recommend giving it a shot if you dismissed it as just a clone.

One of the reasons I've not bought this (or Fortnight) yet is because it looks like 10-15 minutes of tedious looting and travelling followed by 2-30 seconds of action (depending on whether you see the guy shooting at you). I suspect I'd prefer watching people play it to actually playing it myself.

That’s why I don’t like pubg, you’re looking at a few mins of action per hour but fortnight is way more action based. The maps smaller, no real inventory and it feels like you’re in the thick of it from the first second. The actual combats not the best mind you but then PubGs feels shitty too so hay ho!

Fortnights free btw. The battle royal part at least.

There's a closed test of a new smaller jungle map starting today, looking forward to giving it a try tonight.

Perhaps, but copying the BR idea took Fortnite from miserable flop to industry-leading juggernaut. I can't say I'm surprised at this legal action; I suspect it's more about precedent setting or copyright protection than compensation.

You can't copyright game design and if you could PUBG should be sued by DayZ or HZ1Z.

There is talk that it is more to do with technology surround Unreal, but that to me sounds like the kind of thing Denis Dyack tried to pull with Too Human and he lost that case.

I remember reading an interview with PU from PUBG fame on RPS a while back. He said quite clearly in the interview that the whole Battle Royale concept had been around for ages, and was not invented by him, so I can't see that a game-type is anything Bluehole can even vaguely defend, hence their weak UI argument.

Cockweeds regardless, they as a small developer must have become rich beyond the dreams of avarice off the sales of PUBG, how fucking petty to try and ringfence their cash-cow while it sits perpetually at the top of the sales charts.

Agreed Ian. That's a twatty snarky move by them here.
