One of the most successful designs in 'history'. It's stagnating quite a lot now.

Just opening the maps up a bit more again would do a lot of good. No matter what mode or map you play on the more recent installments it just feels like you've been dropped into a blender of chaos. I miss being able to pick someone off from across a good distance with a kar98k. Taking it back to WW2 would have given them the perfect opportunity to actually make the game feel a little more like the first two games.

It's stagnating, but it's still not what you'd consider unpopular. I expect they'll just keep milking the franchise until it's no longer popular.

They have only made one, Advanced Warfare, and it was received rather well.

I heard rumours that the multiplayer was going to open up a bit more and be similar to Battelfield, I guess that is not the case?

Looking at the videos of the MP gameplay I'd say it's only heading towards that by a smidgeon if at all.

By the sounds of the "War" game mode it does sound like there will be larger maps as they reference "tanks" which would require some open areas to function?

I love the "it just looks like cod" reaction. What are you expecting? :p. It's what a lot of people want and no other game gives that same MP feel. Battlefield1 was just battlefield after all.

Played the beta. It's all I wanted from the last two games. No stupid half arsed titan fall movement! It plays great. That said, I don't think I want to play this any more. I'm not sure if it's because of the last two being shitty or if it's R6s fault but I'm just not feeling it. Och well, £40 saved, thanks beta!

Ah fair do's. Glad to hear the game is more grounded, though I expected nothing less. How are the maps?

They look real ugly, it's really showing the age of the engine now, design wise seems fine though. They don't immediately hit me as being crappy like MW3s but still didn't seem great. That's not really enough playtime to really judge though.
