STuG wrote:I know its merely a trailer, i know the demographic they are going for, i know the target audience and yet with the myriad of nations and stories they could tell we get Americans in Normandy again.

Hopefully something else will be shown in the coming months as that has left me entirely cold. I have played that game before.

Yeah have to agree which is why I said about them seeming to tread very safe ground with the settings. Shame as any historian could give them a fuck ton of great settings answer stories to base things on. Having said that...the beach landings are the only recognisable location I could pick out and I did hear some British accents in there.

Am I right in saying that CoD 3 is the only fps that had Polish and and a Canadian campaign?

CoD 3 was console only wasn't it? I vaguely remember the campaign being quite good, but having to play on a controller really killed it.

The Russian campaigns have always been my favourites on these games. CoD 1, United Offensive and CoD 2 all had fantastic Russian missions.

World at War was quite solid with the US/Japan angle too.

don't you know the Americans won the war.

Actually Stalin probably got so fucked off with the Americans delaying opening the Western he probably gave birth to the Soviet Union as a big fuck you to the West on taking their time.

To be frank - the Russians won the war

So health packs once again in place of regen health. Running out of ammo you have to request it from your comrades. Now that's what I'm talking about. Maybe just maybe this will be the Call of Duty we know and love again?

It's a good move that. Now it depends on how ubiquitous they are.

It's just Call of Duty again isn't it. Quick scoping, kill streaks and tons of icons cluttering the screen. Visually very nice but gameplay looks wank so far. If I ever got this it would be for the campaign.

It's still boosting about at million miles an hour in probably smallish maps dying very very quickly.

Not terribly enthused here.

Just watched another MP gameplay video. I hate to shit on a game that hasn't even been released yet but it just looks like ballhang. Sledgehammer are the ones that make the least successful COD games aren't they?

Was there any indication that it would have been any different? It's Call of Duty, they're not going to change one of the most successful game designs in history.
