How odd, it appears I already own this. I don't recall buying it, surely it isn't a free expansion, I thought those were extinct?!?

No I don't really do season passes.

I actually don't have it I found out - rather confusingly they have renamed it on the 'standard' DL Steam page as 'DL Enhanced Edition - The Following' irrespective of whether you actually own The Following DLC. The DLC has it's own page.

I were confoozled.

Man. Two hours in an I feel like an asshole.
Swinging around weapons with all the force of the gentle pawing of a kitten, only to fall wheezing to the floor. Can bearly take fight a zombie one on one at the moment.
Is there a block button? I'm trying to fight bandits, but they're just deflecting everything then killing me right back.

I'm guessing the general idea is to just run away for now, right? When do the tables turn? I want to start battering fools and, In Dead Island, I felt like I could stove in low level shamblers without much issue by this point.

Both triggers tother to block I think? Its been a while. After you level up a bit you become a killing machine.

Not before you will have to do a mission during the night and you will hide under a bridge scared to budge even an inch. We've all been there.

Early days, you want to parkour as much as possible - it is when you are the most in danger and for me when the game was at it's most atmospheric (barring night time when you wanted to finish that one quest and waited just a little too long and just a little too far from a safe house...

I loved that you could be overwhelmed by zombies.

By the end, you will be cartwheeling through them sending limbs flying in all directions, pinging from building to building like Spiderman.

A tip - look for bladed weapons and aim for the neck.

8 hours in and it's still feeling like a bit of a slog.
Tried doing some of the side missions to see if it'd get me some better gear, but I found the tone of the quests to be a bit uneven. Did the mission where you had to get the anti-seizure medicine and was like "are you fucking kidding me? :?"

Going to try and focus on the story some more and see if it grabs me, but otherwise, it's all just a bit to awkward and fiddly with too much open world padding that just doesn't engage me. Vaguest criticism ever, I know. :P
