Counter-Strike: Global Offensive launches “Operation Payback” paid pass...

http://www.vg247.com/2013/04/26/counter ... -dlc-pass/

Valve confirmed that the pass will cost only $2.99 and will give players access to official low-ping servers hosting seven of the best player-created Steam Workshop maps from the community.

Pass holders will earn a limited edition challenge coin to show their support, and they can also invite non-pass holding friends into matches as well. The idea is that proceeds from the pass will go to the map-makers themselves, effectively paying them for their time and effort.

I would get it, but the only way of buying it is to add £4 in funds. Instead of just charging the amount to your normal payment method. FFS Steam.

Also is it just me that thinks that whilst the graphics are a step forward over Source, the actual mechanics are worse? Team balancing in particular in casual/competitive games is poor. Seems a lot harder too, though that could just be me being shit.

I really dislike CS GO, the graphics yeah they are a step, a bloody small step to be fair but I totally agree on the mechanics. I'm certain that many people found the move from ye olde world CS to source jarring in terms of mechanics, speaking for myself I can't play GO the difference seems that wide.
