Max Payne 3 (PC/360/PS3)

Postby [Prey] » Fri Apr 25, 2008 7:25 am

According to the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, Rockstar are said to be publishing Max Payne 3 for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. The real downer however is that no PC version of the game is mentioned.

They better not skip the PC for MP3. :|

Do we know if its still Remedy? Maybe they decided to scrap Alan Wake and just make it Max Payne -_-

In the beginning Mafia 2 wasn't hitting PC.

Hopefully MP3 will be PC. They have to :D

Wouldn't count on it. By the sounds of it Rockstar is becoming console bias as well now. They just confirmed last night that it's highly doubtful they'll convert GTAIV for PC. :(

Rockstar became console-biased years ago. Sounds as though they've just reached a new low. Both Max Payne and GTA were originally PC series, and every single main game from each has been released on PC so far. Rockstar will officially become the biggest backstabbing bastards in the world if they don't port these.

So many lose their way under the influence of fame and fortune, they forget where their roots lie.

PC gaming will go on without them, but it won't be as good.

MP and GTA are huge hits, surely PC still provides large enough amounts of sales for it to be worth their time to port?

I'd have thought so too, GTAIII VC and SA must have sold shitloads on the PC.

GTA was released on the PS1 at about the same time. ¬_¬

Yeah don't tell me the PS1 version was a proper one: the trains didn't work, I don't think the fire engines worked properly, and the memory of the surrounding area was a lot poorer.

I remember being stunned when I saw the PS version of GTA2 for the first time - I loved the PC version, and I couldn't believe how crap the console version was. Hardly anything worked!

Doubt it (though I hope they are), they sold the IP to Take 2 while making Max Payne, there have been two or three attempts by Take 2 to make MP3 already, all of which have been canned.
