Middle Earth Online screenshots & Info

Postby Almeister » Fri Feb 27, 2004 7:38 pm

A few new screenies and concept art from the MEO newsletter, and some explanation on how combat will work. As possibly the only LotR RPG anywhere near release, definatley worth a look.

[b]The combat system in MEO has been carefully crafted to capture the feel of conflict in The Lord of the Rings

Yeah, I have the same problem really - all the fantastic looking games like this, EQ II, CoH coming out but no money/time/specs to appreciate them when they do.

You'd be surprised Jacko, my mate is running EVE-online very well on his old 800mhz/Geforce2 system. And EVE is a paricularly good game graphically.

Looking stupendous if I may say so. It does seem somewhat ironic though, that the best looking games tend to be the online-only ones...

EDIT: Hate to burst you bubble Almesiter, but wrong game! Those three Gamespy shots belong to The Battle for Middle-Earth, EA's RTS. Your topic is for VU's Middle-Earth Online. Sorry ;).
