No Anthem thread?

The release of the E3 demo footage is good enough reason as any to start one I say...

Wooo. Numbers everywhere!

It's EA's answer to a sub-genre that seems to have died a death. I'm not too surprised that nobody's speaking about it. Frankly I don't think it looks like much fun either. It's quite good looking I suppose, but frankly I don't put much faith in visuals shown off at E3 these days.

Division 2 looks the much better game for me.

It looked to me that once the novelty of being able to hover around as the main mode of transport wore off that it'd become a very plain game with no real substance other than Destiny style loot grinding.

I have been done with those particular kinds of games for a very long time now.

The Division is the only one I’ve enjoyed since Hellgate. I’m not done with the style of games because they’re churning out crap in the genre, I’m just waiting on them making a good one. Is this it? Probably not....

On the face of it currently it's not my cup of tea either. I just don't have the time or the flexibility in time to be playing this sort of game anymore where you need to plan to available with mates and plow hours into playing in a session.

Learnt that with the division. Speaking of which division 2 will likely not get bought either.

If you can do it mainly single-player (and I've not been following it so I don't know if that's been ruled in or out yet at this stage) then I'd have it under consideration. I was really in the mood for a Destiny-style game when the second one came out, then I played a bit of the free trial and realised that particular game wasn't the one for me. If you have to play online or co-op to get the most from it then I probably won't bother.
My face is tired.
