Yeah, that style of game isn't my cup of tea at all. Even with a Fallout-inspired reskin.

But... there is a pretty big market out there for this sort of thing. Might still be a 'success' in that sense.

It's from 4chan, /v/ specifically, they are generally wrong about everything. I'm hoping it's a Fallout car game where you shoot your way across a post apocalyptic Pennsylvania.

Slightly more believable rumours say this will be online but also running on gamebryo. If that's true it's going to be a clusterfuck of bugs and cheating.

As much as I'm an Elder Scrolls and Fallout fanboy, I can't believe they're still clinging to Gamebryo. If it's going online (a brave/insane move), they'll have to disable the console, which will prevent people from fixing half the problems with the engine.

It's encouraging to see the public backlash to the possibility of an online Fallout game. Industry experts would have you believe that nobody cares about SP gaming anymore, but that's clearly not the case.

You think it might be a riff on Interstate '76? That was great fun back in the day, if buggy as all get out.

Lots of people think 76 is also a reference to I-76 and also most online survival games have vehicles in them. If they're going to introduce all the problems of multiplayer with gamebryo they might as well add the bugs involved with vehicles.

Who knows whether it's a reference to Interstate 76 or not, but Vault 76 was mentioned as far back as Fallout 3 apparently, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Nah that's RAGE 2

The image was just something that was linked to me DjchunKfunK and found funny as I can really see them doing that soon enough. Since the Quake Champions bombed, just replace the models to Fallout. Quick cash grab from the fans.

I dont mind it being online, as long as PvP isnt mandatory. Base building and adventuring with someone who is human and not essentially a bot, would be nice. I have had plenty of fun with ESO. For me, that has (largely) worked fine online. Still, I guess we will have to wait and see. It was only a matter of time until Fallout went online.

Where as I totally agree with you, as far as the industy ignoring SP gaming goes. I have plenty of hours in ESO, and I have always aproached that with a single player mind set. It has largely worked for me. I am not a fan of online (PvP) gaming. Not in the slightest. Its why I played Everquest back in the day I guess.

An online Fallout game could work. But the flip side could easily be just the same as the rest of the toxic PvP survival games out there. If so, they can stick it up their arse.

Confirmed as a "Softcore MP survival sim".

Zero interest from me then.

Same here. And just waiting for the inevitable words "Battle Royale" to appear.

Online then so no mods either? So creation club only.

They make games that absolutely need mods to get the most out of them.
