No, you have full control over the terrain, and the editing tools are pretty good. You do need to use them too, as the challenge and sandbox modes start off with completely flat terrain which needs some sculpting to look interesting. Coasters and flat rides can be set to automatically tunnel through terrain if needed.

I think I'm done with my sci-fi area, though I may come back and replace rides with others later on as I research them.

The G Force Extruder (I wanted to give all of my rides silly names)

And Re-Entry, my first fully original coaster with full station building. I'm quite proud of this:

Haha I think you have gone about things the opposite way to me Raid, I have been all out trying to build a massive sprawling money-making park but which is rather spartan in theming.

Now that I have one however, and the money is properly rolling in, beautification shall commence!

The way you can customise and build everything very much reminds me of Spore, especially the RTS section of that game.

I never have it enough time to know it that well, it was a huge miss for me sadly.

I gave up at the RTS part, I got very tired of having to build every little thing.

Thinking of picking this up in the Steam sale, was wondering though how the management side of things is. I remember some complaints when it first came out and I see they have recently dropped a new update that addresses this a bit. Anyone got any thoughts on how it is?

Some kind of death coaster is as good a place as any. Then maybe lots of pretty trees for decoration. I'd call it Mourning Wood. :D

Sounds just like the sort of jolly place any camper would happily pitch a tent...
