How the hell do you add friends?

I'm upto the first Battleship. Those long re-load times are a killer, but then so are the one hit kill shots when you hit a citadel ¬_¬ You have to adapt you shooting pattern in a battleship, since they take so long to reload I've taken to shooting off a single aiming shot, then hitting the full broadside after I see where its hit. Cruisers reload so fast you can use a broadside to find your range, you cant waste the shots like that from a battleship.

Bottom left side of the screen you see the red box with ... click that then add the players name :)

Battleships are just so damn fun though. Always make sure to use AP on everything since you can one shot even the smaller cruisers/destroyers while not having to wait around to switch ammo loadouts when another larger ship appears in range.

Added you. Took my first destroyer into a full battle, 1,300 xp and 4 sinkings. Fucking they're effect in and about the island, sunk 2 ships within 20 seconds of each other.

 =D>

It's great to get them in the islands and if you can pop smoke and hide in it. Even more fun

I've worked my way to the tier 4 Clemson USA destroyer but found the USA side are really bad compared to the same Japanese tiers. Roughly you get 4.5-5.5Km range on the torpedos but sure you get a lot more of them but the Japanese are 5.5-8Km in range. But the USA ships do last longer under fire.

Only real bad thing about destroyers is your teammates if they really tunnel visioning on something and move right into your line of fire

Yeah, US destroyers are a bit odd, cant topedo for shit. They've better guns and armor, but they still won't be able to stand and fight against anything, probably best at killing other destroyers in the early stages I'd guess.

Not had the same success with destroyers since, think that game of just a perfect storm of inattentive captains coming down the narrows at once.

Yea pretty much why I prefer the Cruiser the Phoenix since it does more damage, can take down aircraft in the vicinity and has a pair of torpedo tubes when you get into the right moment to use them.

Some games I get ganked within 2 minuets of the round starting.

The Jap cruiser are pretty good for the torpedo tubes, not sure whether I prefer they're speed and torps or the US cruisers with loads and loads of guns. Only downside to the St Louis that, fucker is slower than a battleship.

I want to try this, but the lack of the Royal Navy at this time is a major irritation. A minor quibble to some i know but a deal breaker for me for a game predicated on warships.

A business decision i know but rankles all the same.

I think it's been the same way they did World of Tanks instead there it was mostly 2 nations at release before expanding on it. Heck the Japanese and Chinese have the least amount of tank line ups still

To be far its still beta and I'm betting there was alot more ship action between the US and japan in the atlantic than anywhere else. They've just added the Bismarch for testing and a few other Germans ships so it cant be too far off, plus Warspite is in it.

I think they said the Russian Navy will come next, then the German and British.
