Choosing which DD line to play is an interesting question. Getting in close and dirty has never been something I was any good at. Being sneeky and torping from further away will probably fit better. Thats why I thought the IJN DD's would be best to try out first.

Well shit, at that tier play both. I won't bother with co-op though gpa, you won't be the worst DD playing by a long way!

I think I hate you.

Its gonna take yonks until i get it, at the rate i play. I am away for week as well.

On the DD play. I put my Amagi captain in the IJN DD andvre spect it. I wont be playing it for a while with the RN BB's almost out. I now have concealment down to 5.5km. I just need to play more. But DD's are a lot more fun than i thought they would be.

If it makes you feel better I've just unlocked the Minotaur but I'm 3M short of affording.

They are very stealthy ships, good at spotting for your team as well since you'll get a percentage of the XP your teamates get from your spotting.

Someone must have heard me, the top tier ships are all on sale so I can afford it now with no grinding ^_^

WG are banning another premium from sale soon, might be the koing as its winrates at tier 3 are massive. Luckily I already got one on the cheap.

I had a very quick go in the Bellerophon, but I have other stuff to do at the mo. As expected, it was swarming with other BB's, with HE rounds flying in all directions.

I'm on the QE now, its actually a bit of a come down after the Iron Duke, might actually be the weak point of the line now.

New PTS goes live tomorrow, so I will take the opportunity to try out the T7 KGV.

It's a bit iffy. It eats so much cruiser HE damage and takes loads of damage through the nose, its not very tanky unless someone hits you on the belt at an angle. Not helped as i'm also struggling to get good AP shots on cruisers too, it good for HE fire starting though.

I found the QE to be a bit less accurate than the warspite and it really seemed to struggle to hit BB citadels too.

Had a very quick go in the KGV, left me a little cold to be honest. But you cant judge it on only a couple of games. But the Lion, jeez, how ridiculous is the concealment? Its less than 12km.

Turns out KGV isn't all bad. ¬_¬

In genraly though its hard to carry since so much of your damage ends up being repair able fires so you end up with a high damage count but you've not taken out too many ships

Just saved up enough cash to buy the baltimore and I'm half way through the Monarch grind. Balti is worse than the NO stock as it doesn't get the good reload until after the hull and gun upgrade.

When the RN BB's came out I decided to give it a rest for a while, until things normalised. In the mean time I got back into WoT, mainly due to my nephew wanting somebody to platoon with.

As he is now at uni, i will get back into this again.
