Master of Orion reboot

Postby DjchunKfunK » Tue Jun 09, 2015 9:08 am

Wargaming have announced that they are working on a Master of Orion reboot. It isn't being developed by Wargaming themselves, rather they have contracted it out to an Argentinian developer called NGD who have previously worked on free to play and licensed games. So a ftp developer working with a ftp publisher to reboot a storied strategy franchise. What could possibli go wrong.

We all saw how well it went the last time they tried making a MoO game without the involvement of the original creators. At least that had some pretentious of being a 4X game.
This, 12 years later and dredged up by some FTP developers and publishers, inspires no such confidence.

To give them a tiny bit of credit they do say that some of the original creators will be giving the team a hand.

I didn't realise that.
Well, I've moved from outright dismissive to wary curiosity. :-k
