So this was a bit of a surprise. GSC Game World have secretly been working on a new Cossacks game for the last year and a half and have just announced it. They describe it as a modern remake of the original title, Cossacks European War, so it sounds like it isn't a completely new game. They are set to release it in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be interesting to see how it stands up against stuff like Total War.
