Don't know if you get the pre-order Chaos Faction but I don't think so.

With the previous games have the pre-order races ever become available after release?

Ive pickup mine from CDKeys, ever other game I pre-ordered from this site I also got the pre-order items so I'll say its more than likely you'll get the chaos DLC with it

Cant wait for this game TBO, played the hell out of Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen, also loved the series Myth the Fallen Lords (nothing to do with this but I kinda felt it was around the same time and got me all excited...lol)

I am not one for CE versions of games, and the whole witholding the Chaos faction (which IS Warhammer, it is the defining difference between WHFR/WHFB and every other fantasy setting) is absolute anathema to me.

But damn that drinking horn is so damned metal... \m/

EDIT: Don't worry, I won't :) I already have one made of real horn, but still, tis nice!

Total War: Warhammer – Post-launch Free DLC Revealed

SEGA and Creative Assembly announced today that Total War: WARHAMMER will also feature a programme of post-release Free DLC for everyone who owns the game.

As the press release reads, in the months following launch, players will be able to grab additional new units, Heroes, Legendary Lords and even an entire new playable Race, all for free.

Rob Bartholomew, Brand Director at Creative Assembly, said:

“With both Rome II and Attila we were able to release playable factions, new formats and even a free campaign expansion as a thanks to players for supporting Total War. The Warhammer Fantasy Battles World is gigantic, and we’re looking forward to exploring it over the forthcoming trilogy. But that incredible cast of characters and monsters also provides us the chance to make lots of interesting Free DLC to support our games over time.”

Yeah I thought that. Surely the TW games are, erm, total war and conquest. How do you make a trilogy?>

Firstly, See my signature :P

Secondly, I'm pretty much a Total War noob, so there's a pretty steep learning curve, but the game looks amazing and the battles are very fun, though I'm yet to experience too much of the crazy stuff!

Oh OK - go on then and do some pimping, what is Backwards Compatible (other than a gaming site) and what part do you play in it?

You haven't played much Total War? I love them, mainly for the battles. I never have the attention span for the stuff going on in the background, managing tax rates and buildings etc, so the fact that this is more focused on the warfare with a lot of the background activity made quite 'lite' appeals to me a lot.

I've not picked up a TW game since Medieval 2, they seemed to all have pretty big problems on launch after then. Is this one better in that respect?
My face is tired.
