King's Quest

Postby DjchunKfunK » Sat Dec 06, 2014 10:01 am

The first trailer of the new King's Quest game was revealed last night. It looks like it will be less of a point and click game and more of an adventure game without much combat. I'm not totally sold on the art style. In places it looks really nice, but in others it's not quite right. It also reminded me a lot of Dragon Quest in it's look.

It's being developed by the guys who did PD Winterbottom and is due next Autumn.

"Graeme, watch out! A teeeeedious looking QTE game!"

Doesn't look like something I'd be interested in at all. :?
In a sense, the King's Quest games always had an almost open world feel to them. If this is just walking down scripted sections with QTEs, light platforming and maybe some inventory based puzzling then, nah, I'm not into it.
