GRID: Autosport Announced

Postby Prey » Tue Apr 22, 2014 8:56 am

GRID: Autosport is a new entry in the Codemasters racing franchise coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 30 in just a few months.

Codemasters said Autosport will have the most content of any GRID game to date, while retaining all past features and offering an authentic racing experience. Additions include long night drives.

A full career mode will chart events like recruiting a teammate, and earning sponsorships, while online play will offer racing clubs, weekly challenges and raceNet leaderboards. There will be five styles of racing available, 22 locations and over 100 tracks.

Not interested. I know each iteration gets rave reviews, but the driving model for me is just horrible. Also this is not down to me being shit at racing games generally, I have sunk countless hours into the GTR and GT Legends series and loved both.

If it doesn't have a cockpit view it can get itself to fuck tbh.

I have found each iteration far too prone to getting hopeless tankslappers going on, and have struggled to find the sweet spot for my wheel as well - it has 720 degree rotation that you can customise and it is too fine a line between crazy spinning of the wheel or one touch either way sending you spinning off.

Waiting for "next gen" Dirt.
Not played a Grid yet that didn't feel like crap.

Picked up GRID on the gog.com sale and it is terrible pish. I'll porbably keep it installed for my nieces and nephews to race on but it is most defintely an arcade racing game so holds little appeal for me.
