I'm half expecting the story of how some kid ran up their parent's credit card bill on the game in the news.

Is it me or does the game still run way too fast even when using modern resolutions?
Is there a way of calming it down a bit using KeeperFX?

I'm loving the whole game again. Can't believe how it stills feels so intuitive even today.

Is it possible to zoom out? I'm scrolling the mousewheel like a maniac, but nothing. :'(

Mouse wheel? What do you think this is? 1999?

Ctrl+ arrow keys for camera control.

Ah, that's better :)

Logic told me there must be a way to do it, but wasn't having any luck.

Home/End zoom in and out and pagedown/delete rotate as well. If you switch to the overhead view in the graphics options in game you get a much further zoomed out view with pagedown/delete now rotating in 90° increments then.

Seems this was the final nail in the coffin for Mythic. Their already ravaged and mutilated corpse has at least been put to rest.

"Dungeon Keeper suffered from a few things," Gibeau told Games Industry. "I think we might have innovated too much or tried some different things that people just weren't ready for... I don't think we did a particularly good job marketing it or talking to fans about their expectations for what Dungeon Keeper was going to be or ultimately should be."

More from here http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/vi ... g-Too-Much

Innovation is usually termed for something that makes it better for everyone but not in how you try to get people to cough up for every action.
Unless it is of course innovation in the scammers league definition of brilliance ¬_¬

Didn't know it was no longer classed as a free game though. I hope that would quickly stop all these shitty things but I bet there is some loophole to get around it.. always is.

Amazing.
Inovated too much?! On your bike, son! More like slimy as fuck corporate dickheads worming their way out of admitting any fault.

"Oops! We were caught trying to extort our users? Well, they just weren't open minded enough to see how amazing this game was, even if it was just another shitty Clash of Clans rip-off that cashed in nostalgia and tried to wring as much cash as possible out of them."

I don't see what they gain from telling such blatant lies. They must know nobody believes them.
