That moment where you make one of your best ever plays and didn't record it.

he has lethal next turn (assassin's blade plus tinker's oil)
i have 2 boom bots in play
abusive sergeant both of them
power over whelming one
attack face
void terror both boom bots
which hit him for 6 combined
leaving him with 4 health
and i have soulfire in my hand

Big changes coming to Hearthstone.

http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/blog/19995505#faq

Basically there will be two modes now. WIld where all cards released will be available and Standard where only cards from the current and previous year will be allowed along with card from the Basic and Classic sets. They are also doubling the number of deck slots.

Removing GvG and Naxx cards is going to do horrible, horrible things to priest decks :(

Just keep playing the wild mode, I guess.

I don't know what has happened, but for two months in a row now I'm finding it really hard to climb the ladder. Even my normally rock solid Tempo Paladin deck is struggling.

One thing to add Naxxramas and GvG are being removed from the shop when this update goes live and will become craftable only.

I think if they are going to do something like this they should perhaps look at changing the crafting costs of the now defunct sets.

It sounds like they're doing this so that they don't have to bother balancing new cards to be played with older ones, so I get the feeling Wild mode is going to be messy.

Yes indeed, it also makes me a bit more wary about buying new card packs as now they will no longer be relevant after a year or two.

I've not bought anything since Blackrock, so I'm not very far off being down to the basic cards. Not that I'm really playing any more though.

It's an easy way to deal with cards like doctor boom or sludge belcher that are still relevant even today without having to nerf them, but it's a bit odd.

I don't know what has been happening to Hearthstone recently, but I'm finding it a lot harder to climb the ladder. Yesterday I started out with a Murloc Pladin which is a slow deck and came up against a load of fast decks so went 1-4. Later I changed to a control Priest and suddenly came up against a load of control decks, very annoying. Obviously that is all variance, but for whatever reason this year my ladder climbing has been very difficult. Gone are the days when I can climb a couple of ranks in an hour at the lower levels.

I usual find every month difficult due to my aversion to buying cards, but this month has been particularly brutal. Bloody mill decks all over the shop. It's all very tedious.

Saying that I've just managed to claw my way up to level 17 with my Shaman. I usually top out at 15 so that's not too shabby all things considered.
