Quite a few major changes and lots of new items (Octarine Core!). Two ward types now stack in the same slot and give xp when killed and BoTs can be upgraded to teleport to heros. Also a bunch of new Aghs including Techies minefield sign makes all mines in a radius immune to truesight :shock: [-X and Alchemist who can cast Aghs on friendly heroes which grants them all Sceptre stats as a buff but destroys the item which I'm assuming is permanent - thats pretty huge and gives your team 7 item slots should Alch farm like a bitch.

Also Keeper buff \o/

By the by, completely unrelated. How does everyone move their camera? Just screen edges and middle clicks? Ive always used wasd because you can be moving and clicking at the same time but it seems nobody uses that which seems crazy to me.

Screen edge for me. I need my fingers to be using my skills.

This patch is definitely geared more towards encouraging people to fight rather than farm. With creep bounties being reduced and AOE gold going up you are really motivated to go out and gank.

I move cursor to edge of screen to move camera. I started Dota 2 with default settings & just left it at that.

Never found I had ran out of finger area for skills. I do use side buttons on the mouse for items right enough. Hell I even comfortably have a snow angel button :p

Thats for the G13, I would rather use the stick for camera but the top is too small and I cba modding it with a different nub.

Using screen edges just seems inefficient to me, not that I'm that efficient to begin with ¬_¬

Well thats a big patch.

Arc Warden.
Map changes, 4 new items(two of which increase attack range and spell range), zeus arcana (which is kind of badass, pity its a shit hero :(), new rune, new jungle camps and the usual balance tweaks.

Actually there's major stuff in the character balance too. Lots of new aghs (bristlebacks spit becomes 600 aoe, venge becomes a ghost after death that can still use abilities and do 50% dps) and lot of abilities replaced with new ones (Riki will be a pub nightmare now).

Wonder how many strategically placed iron branches it would take to pull the first wave of creeps behind your tower :-k

Anyone playing this on an ultrawide? I have a weird problem I cant seem to find anyone else when googling it mostly because it just turns up a million folk bitching about how shit it is in 21:9.

Obviously I dont want to run it at 3440 x 1440 because it makes the hud huge and you lose a chunk of vertical space.
It wont let me select 2560x1440 when it full screen. Its either 3550x1440 or 1080p or lower.
I can run it at 2560x1440 windowed which has the annoyance of seeing my desktop down the sides.
If I force 2560x1440, fullscreen via launch switches the game runs but is invisible. ie. I still see my desktop but I hear Dota and when I click I'm actually clicking on things in the menus, not on my desktop.

So currently its either run at 1080p or make my desktop black. Its real annoying :(

Dont suppose anyone can shed any light?

I had this problem too when I used to play Dota2, I ended up using a custom hud, but if I remember correctly it didn't display the bottom portion of the items list when you open the shop menu so you'd have use the search bar for items. I wasn't able to use either other hud otherwise I get the problem with the map not fitting in the hud like shown in the below link. Other than that I don't think there was ever a proper solution to this.

Thats the thing, I'm not trying to play it in 21:9, I'm trying to play it in 16:9 but it wont let me select or even force my screens native resolution, only 1080p when in fullscreen mode.

Oh look. Another big patch with lunacy in it!

Each team now has a Scan ability, available on the minimap UI.

Scans a targeted 900 AoE for 8 seconds. Indicates whether there are enemy heroes in that area during the 8 seconds.
Starts on cooldown and has a global team-wide cooldown of 4.5 minutes
Note: Does not consider units inside the Roshan Pit, but does consider Smoked units. Does not show how many heroes there are, just if there are any enemies. Enemies do not know when your team casts it.
