I am tempted by this as the base version is only £19 on steam. That's cheaper than the Scharnhorst in World of Warships. Hmmmmm. :-k

It is good to get lost in the game for a few hours without realising it but it really depends on how much you get out sandbox games with no real goals.

I really went off it when the weapons appeared to be nerfed. I used to love doing a bit of dog fighting, swapping power around to shield or weapons, but now it's takes so long with everyone spiralliong around each other whilst the shields repair (or they pop a shield regen thing).

Ah, I remember the beta cannons. Glorious!

Less than 20 quid? Cmon man. If your even only vaguely interested in this 20 quid or less is nothing. You've spent more on a lot worse than ED.

Can also get you a whole lot more and better for £19.... :-k

Also it's under a tenner in sales, just wait till the Halloween sale or whatever.

Patch 2.2 is out. All 13 Gbs of it. I'm still very new to the game, and by new I mean I have 50 hours in solo mode so far. I restarted after the patch which may have been a mistake because it seems they lowered the reward money for the trading jobs I've been doing. Anyway, still loving the immersion Elite gives you. It's a great game that I'll be playing for a long time to come.

Patch notes are way too expansive to show here but here's a link to them. Enjoy

I'd been a lot of this up until battlefield 1 came out recently. I'll come back to it again in a few weeks though for sure.

Thats a big ol' update. Will have to dust off the X-52 (literally) and have a crack at it.

That's the only thing holding me back. The thought of having to setup the X52 with all the bindings I had. Takes forever.

I meant ' I can't be bothered' :)

I do miss my beta bumblings. Much preferred the simplicity of it. I bought the Horizon expansion and still haven't fitted anything on my ship to go drive about in. never even been down to a planet's surface.

It's a novelty really the planet landing thing BUT every now and then you'll land on one and the sun will be shining down (multiple sun's sometimes) through a ring system planet large in the foreground and it's amazing to see.

The gameplay is coming slowly but surely this season is really hotting up on the introduction of intelligent other life in the galaxy not to mention the spacelegs thing is coming also in the not too distant future.
