A release date is simply Q1 2004, but I don't think it'll be out before summer.

Anyone played the Tech Demo of Panzers released ages ago? It was pretty good at showing off the physics of the game. Tanks firing and driving over things etc

One thing that worries me is the men. Infantry are never done that well in WW2 Strategy Games

Well, I heard that they'd bumped up the Poly count on the infrantry from 330 to 3,300 or somewhere like that.

in the tech demo, I can't remember the tanks firing?

I've got it installed here, and all it does is, a bunch of english and american infrantry and tanks and one German tank..

I believe you had to force fire the tanks. No damage is taken however but they do fire

that huge increase in Unit polygons is surely going to have a big hit on performance?

If this is a WW2 game with 10 men on the screen max before it starts questioning my GFX card then they should halve it

I highly doubt it will require a high end system to run, and I bet you'll be able to turn down the detail on the men.
